Repentance/ Forgiveness

REVOLUTION!

Gen. James Green

REPENTANCE / FORGIVENESS REVOLUTION IS UNDER WAY!

Jesus made history in His day in a Big Way by breaking away from some of the (Jewish) doctrines, dogmas, and traditions. He DID NOT accept all these as FINAL!; He set many of them aside, saying: "It hath been said by them of old time" (Mt. 5:33)… "but I say unto you…" (5:34). His life, speech, and words were an epoch. He never changed the quality, compromised, or watered things down, but many times added and gave a deeper spiritual meaning.

Jesus' main teaching was that of REPENTANCE. He came to the LOST sheep of the House of Israel (Mat. 15:24), under pagan Roman rule. He spoke of both "love" and "wrath"/"judgment." Read the New Testament and see if I'm not right. He never separated His love/the Father's love, from righteousness. Many, TOO MANY speak of God's love without ever speaking of His righteousness (His divine character).

Today's church needs to depart from "Political Correctness" and GET BACK INTO "BIBLE CORRECTNESS"...For they have accepted the BIG LIE that (now!) God accepts (practicing) gays, lesbians, transgenders, bisexuals, and queers—accepting same sex sex/marriage, and all the abominations connected with these unlawful, forbidden sins. They claim that this is "God's love," but in reality, they have separated "love" from "righteousness," which ABHORS such behaviors.

Except Your Righteousness…

JESUS SAID in Matt. 5:20: "That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, Ye shall in no case enter the Kingdom of Heaven." He wasn't specifically dealing with the SIN of homosexuality (or heterosexuality, e.g. adultery etc.), He was pointing out that He came to fulfill the law (moral) and the prophets (true) in a higher righteousness. He was not dealing with traditions that were of men, but of ethical/moral principles (see Mt. 7:12; 22:36-40; Rom. 3:31; Gal. 5:14; see also Ex. 20:2) of the Old Testament, as well as the teachings of Himself and the apostles (Mt. 28:20; 1 Cor. 7:19; 9:21; Gal. 6:2). These laws reveal the nature (righteousness) and will of the father for all people, for all times. They are still binding today, despite the church's move to the "left" and "extreme left."

More laws/doctrines/dogmas/traditions which applied to the nation of Israel (sacrificial, ceremonial, social, or civil laws) are no longer binding (Heb. 10:1-4; e.g., Lev. 1:2, 3; 24:10 etc.).

Jesus EMPHATICALLY taught that doing the will of the Father is an ongoing condition, requirement, and command for entering the Kingdom of Heaven.

Repentance=Continuing

SOME BELIEVE that initial repentance (for salvation) is all that is needed, BUT MT. 5:20 LAYS THAT TO REST. In order to keep a high standard of "right living" going—as a Christian, requires repentance along the way.

Jesus, of course, was dealing with the "righteousness" of the "religious" which prided themselves on all the rules they kept, all the prayers they prayed, all the praise/worship, fastings, reading of the Word of God etc.: all this was to be seen and heard of men; all this "religious" stuff that goes on in today's contemporary church is exactly like that of the Pharisees/scribes of old—LOTS of "huff and puff," but little if any real heart put into it. These religionists substitute(d) the outward act for the correct inner attitudes. Jesus wants heart/spirit obedience, not just an outward form of obedience. I think all this "love" stuff is a cover-up for inner rebellion.

Esaias Prophesied

"HE ANSWERED and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition. For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death: But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is Corban, that is to say, a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free. And ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother; Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye" (Mark 7:6-13).

Boy! nothing slips by the eyes of Christ. Again, we find Jesus reading out [the intentions of] the scribes and Pharisees (v. 5).

Some go too far as to totally dismiss rules of conduct, prayer, fasting, and reading/studying God's Word etc. They call all this appropriate behavior LEGALISM. Well, there is such a thing, and Jesus pointed this out here in Mark 7. They kept the outward real nice and tidy, but neglected the inner (see Mt. 5:20; 5:27, 28; 6:1-7; Jn. 1:13; 3:3-6 etc.). Today's modern ‘Politically Correct’ recreant/apostate church is GUILTY of "honoureth Me (God) with their lips, but their heart is far from Me" (Mk. 7:6). There is lots and lots of this SIN in today's church.

Legalism does not mean the mere existence of laws/rules/regulations, but rather, it has to do with motives—the motives by which the believers approach God's will as expressed in His Word. Any motive for keeping commandments as rules that do not stem from a "living faith" (as opposed to a "dead church faith") in Christ, the regenerating power of the Holy Ghost (Spirit), and the sincere desire to OBEY and PLEASE Him, is, I believe, legalism (see Mt. 6:1-7; Jn. 14:21).

We are constantly called "legalists" because we adhere to certain (moral) rules, laws, and conducts. We do not do this to be seen, nor heart, of/by men—pagan or "Christian," but God's Word orders it. Too many put on their "religious" clothing, go to church, put on their (pious) act, go home, and then live the way THEY WANT to (usually in conformity to the world!).

Today

THE "FAR LEFT"/"Emergent" church trashes any and all morals, codes of conduct, discipline, mortification of the flesh (denial), and obedience—unlike the Biblical Christianity.

The New Testament uses words like “the perfect law of liberty" (James 1:25, see also 2:12), which are internalized in our hearts by the indwelling Holy Ghost/Spirit (see Ez. 11:19, 20). Through faith in Christ Jesus the Lord, we receive not only mercy, but also forgiveness (James 2:12, 13), but also the power/freedom to obey the law of God (Rom. 3:31; 8:4). It is called the "law of liberty" BECAUSE THE BELIEVER DESIRES TO DO THE WILL OF GOD, as Ps. 119:45 states: "I will walk at liberty: for I seek Thy precepts." It must never be viewed as a freedom to violate God's Word or will, but rather, as the FREEDOM AND POWER TO DO/OBEY THEM—the "royal law" (Jam. 2:8), the "law of Christ" (Gal. 6:2), and the "law of the Spirit" (Rom. 8:2). This rebellion of trashing any and all law/command given, will result in DAMNATION…and today's contemporary church is just that—DAMNED, and Ichabod (H350, ‘no glory’) is written by the finger of God over each door.

His Word (New Testament as well as Old Testament) contains positive commands (see 1 Thes. 5:16-18) and negative commands (Rom. 12:2). The Word also contains basic principles (1 Cor. 8:13) and rules presented by (spiritual) leaders who have been anointed and appointed by the Holy Spirit (Eph. 4:11, 12; 1 Tim. 3:5; Heb. 13:7, 17). We've got too many rebels called "ministers" that are really pulpit pimps ruling over their spiritual prostitutes.

Watch Out!

CHRISTIANS MUST RESIST the tendency to exalt their denominations, organizations, leaders, form of music/dress/conduct etc. The Word of God stands alone, it needs no help or the ‘fixing up’ of men.

A current vogue is to invite unrepentant practicing sex perverts into the church (write for our many Gay Way booklets/DVDs exposing this sinful abomination). Jesus, after he explained to the Pharisees/scribes about their hypocrisy (Mark 7:1 and on), gave them a little lesson on just what defiles a person (read Mark 7:21-23). He said in v. 20: "that which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man" (not food that had been handled by unwashen hands, as they said in v. 5).

That word "defileth" (v. 20) means ‘being separated from the life, salvation, fellowship of Christ.’ Why do you suppose the church is so BACKSLID/APOSTATE today? We're to keep our hearts/minds clean through daily repentance (if needed). This Big Fat Lie that we're ‘once saved, always saved,’ needs to be trashed…and quickly.

DOES YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS EXCEED THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF THE "RELIGIOUS"? DO YOU THINK CHRIST WAS ONLY SPEAKING TO THOSE OF HIS DAY AND NOT OURS?

Christ is Right!

JESUS' SPEECH (most of the time directed at the "religious") certainly did not express "love," in the way that our "Jesus loves all" folks would have us to believe (better read Matt. 23 again).

Jesus’ speech and fiery Words were like the "sword that cuts, and the fire that burns" expressive of:

criticism,

disappointment,

moral indignation,

outrage,

and many times, sadness.

If He had not been right (righteous), He could not have been critical/judgmental (oh, no, not those unpolitically correct critical, judgmental words!!); if He had not been right, He might have been pedantic, censorious, and inclined to throw discredit/disrespect upon the repute of others, but He never could have been judge.

Take Note Churchites

JESUS LOVED because He was right and just. He loved enough to judge between righteousness and unrighteousness. Most pastors never care about these things, they only want tithes, offerings, and the praise of men.

One pastor, a Wesleyan, wrote:

"The prevailing liberal attitude is that neither Scripture, nor tradition (godly) are really that important; what [really] matters is our own personal experience of God, and our commitment to what we feel within ourselves that God wants us to do. This prevailing influence of experience-oriented (existential) philosophy among us fosters on 'I don't really care about these issues' attitude across the board."

There are fewer Biblical fundamentalists these days: all have joined the politically correctness / emergent church camp in one way or the other. Liberals frown upon "Bible Thumpers" and "Hell-Fire Screechers."

Did Jesus always remain composed, incessantly loving, and never angry? I'm sure He did not smile (like baby-boy Joel Osteen) when speaking of Hell-Fire—which He so often did.

Read this:

"And when He (Jesus) looked round about on them (those synagogue leaders) with ANGER, being GRIEVED for the hardness of their hearts…" (Mk. 3:5).

That ANGER, dear ones, was His HATRED and DISAPPROVAL of all unrighteousness and injustice (see also Heb. 1:9). It is not a sin to be angry at sin. The Bible is full of such examples: search them out, you liberals.

In fact, I dare any and all to search out the "Wrath of God" verses as I have. These verses are not limited to that ol hateful Old Testament God, but also to the New Testament Jesus—the one you liberals believe to wink at sin, even bless it. HA! Hell is already full of such deceived persons.

Spirit of Christ

ROMANS 8:9 tells us this: "…Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His." He was not referring specifically to the indwelling Holy Spirit, all receive a portion at conversion. He was referring to Jesus' Spirit: DID HE LOVE?, WAS HE JUST? WAS HE RIGHTEOUS? DID HE REBUKE? ETC. Today's liberal churchites want only to portray one aspect of Jesus' Spirit—love. But, what about anger/wrath? What about meekness (not weakness)?, what about courage and longsuffering?

All this phoney "love" (really effeminate in nature these days) stuff is not the true Spirit of Christ. Jesus called sin "sin" with no apology.

Jesus demonstrated both sides of love—pity and aggressiveness. For sure, most believers are not following the Spirit of Christ today, they are following their own spirit. Jesus spoke the truth even when He knew it would offend the hearers. He also had pity when the religious did not. Jesus did miracles when needed; miracles were held back when belief was absent. He spoke of laying down His life, as well as how those who do not repent would not be rescued.

The Call

THE CALL for repentance is going forth once again. The world needs to repent; the church needs to repent. The church's light has certainly gone OUT. All manner of sin is permissible these days: she certainly has lost her saltiness. Her actions are inconsistent with God's Word, and antinomianism (lawlessness) thrives because of the heretical teaching: "once in grace, always in grace." Churches are being filled up with sinners that see no need in repentance.

From Genesis to Revelation

FROM THE DAWN of human history (in the Garden called Eden), the fundamental principle of God's wrath against human sin has been known; also His love. This dichotomy still abides in earth today: sin and righteousness. Sin must be dealt with. It is God's love that He executes wrathful judgment/ punishment.

   Sin

SIN IS BOTH an "act," and a "state." Did you know that there are seven Hebrew words describing sin in the Old Testament=chattath (H2403), awen (aven, H205), pasha (H6586), rasha (H7563), amal (H5999), ra (H7451), and aval (H5765). There are 12 Greek words: hamartia (G266), adikia (G93), anomia (G458), apistia (G570), aselgeia (G766), epithumia (G1939), asebeia (G763), echthra (G2189), kakia (G2549), poneros (G4190), parabasis (G3847), and paraptoma (G3900). This last Greek word is a strong word denoting sin. The word may be used as an offense in two senses: the first meaning of the word corresponds generally to hamartia (#1), as suggested in Gal. 6:1. Here, which is pointed out by Greek scholars, the idea is of unknown or unintentional failure. But there is a much stronger meaning in the term, for it may be regarded as synonymous with parabasis (#11), which designates sin as the transgression of a known rule of life, and as involving guilt. It is used of transgressions against men, as in Mt. 6:14, but means as a rule of sins against God. So, paraptoma means a lapse or deviation from truth and uprightness: a sin, misdeed.

This whole homosexual sin that is being incorporated into the church is this kind of sin: DEPARTING FROM KNOWN TRUTH—God abhors homo sins in any form (as well as hetero sins).

So—

WITH ALL THIS SAID, don't you think it's time for a REVOLUTION? Not a revival, nor some sort of reformation, but a total overthrowing of "Churchianity"—replacing it with Biblical Christianity?

LET THE SWORD CUT!

LET THE FIRE BURN!
